By Sonakshi Kurbah December 28, 2025

Across continents and coastlines, a new generation of luxury hotels is preparing to open its doors. They may be still under construction, but are already on every serious traveller’s radar.

In luxury travel, anticipation is part of the allure. As architecture, destination and experience align more seamlessly than ever, certain hotel openings start shaping the year ahead well before the first guest checks in.

Here is a list of hotels set to influence how, and where, we travel in 2026.

Six Senses Amaala

Six Senses Amaala, Saudi Arabia

Derived from the Arabic word for 'hope' and the Sanskrit word for 'purity', Amaala unfolds across 1,600 square miles along Saudi Arabia’s pristine Red Sea coastline. The resort spans a dramatic landscape of beaches, coves and desert terrain, all within easy reach of major regional and international hubs. Designed to echo the region’s traditional coastal villages, the property features beachfront residences, hillside accommodations and private villas with sweeping views over Hijaz and Pura coves. At its heart lies the brand’s signature focus on holistic wellbeing, anchored by a secluded Six Senses Spa and a slate of experiences built around Amaala’s three pillars of wellness and sports, arts and culture, and sea, sun and lifestyle.

Bulgari Resort Ranfushi

Bulgari Resort Ranfushi, Maldives

Set to open on a private island in the Maldives’ Raa Atoll, Bulgari Resort Ranfushi marks the Italian luxury house’s long-awaited debut in the archipelago. The resort will feature a collection of beach and overwater villas designed for privacy, space and understated glamour. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters and coral reefs, the property will be anchored by Bulgari’s signature lifestyle offerings from refined dining and curated wellness experiences to bespoke leisure facilities that reflect the brand’s jewellery-like attention to detail.

The Langham

The Langham, Seattle

Rising 42 storeys above downtown, The Langham, Seattle marks the storied hospitality brand’s first foray into the city. The mixed-use tower will house 187 luxury hotel rooms and suites alongside 200 private residences. The design employs a series of sculptural setbacks that reference Seattle’s historic Art Deco and Gothic Revival buildings, while thoughtfully integrating the landmarked façade of the Terminal Sales Annex at its base. Reimagined as a collection of amenity spaces, the restored structure will also feature an outdoor terrace atop the original building, offering guests a distinctive vantage point over the city.

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena, Colombia

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena marks the brand’s long-awaited arrival on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Located in the vibrant, art-filled neighbourhood of Getsemaní, just steps from the UNESCO-listed Walled City, the hotel brings new life to a collection of restored historic landmarks, blending colonial-era romance with sleek design. Designed as an intimate urban resort, the property will feature elegant accommodations, eight restaurants and lounges that celebrate the city’s culinary and cultural spirit, and a resort-style rooftop pool.
